Lawn Care in Lake Buena Vista

We mow, edge, feed and watch over your lawn on a steady schedule, and we tell you in plain words what your grass is doing and why. No mystery treatments and no add-ons you did not ask for. Just a healthier yard around your home.

What Our Lawn Care Covers and Who It Suits

St. Augustine is the grass you will find in most yards here, though plenty of homes have Zoysia or Bahia instead. Those grasses differ in how tall they like to be cut, how much water they need and when they should be fed. Cut St. Augustine too short and it thins out, invites weeds and dries faster in the summer heat. A lot of lawn trouble starts with small habits like that, so a big part of our job is getting the basics right every visit.

This service is a good fit if you want the yard kept neat without spending your weekends on it, or if your grass looks tired and you are not sure why. We are a family-owned business, and we would rather explain what is going on than sell you a fix you do not need. If the lawn is too far gone to bring back, we will say so and talk you through sod installation as an option.

What Happens on a Regular Visit

  1. 01

Mowing height matched to your grass

Every grass type has a cutting height it does best at, and for St. Augustine that is taller than most people expect. Longer blades shade the soil, hold moisture and crowd out weeds. We keep blades sharp so tips are cut clean instead of torn.

  2. 02

    Edging and trimming

We edge along driveways, walks and bed borders, and string-trim around fences, posts and the house. That keeps runners from creeping into your beds.

  3. 03

    Cleanup before we leave

Clippings are blown off hard surfaces and back onto the lawn, where they break down and feed the soil. Your driveway and walkways are left clear.

  4. 04

    Feeding on a sensible schedule

We fertilize at the times of year your grass can use it, and we follow local rules that limit what goes down during the summer rainy months. More fertilizer is not better. Too much just pushes soft growth that pests love.

  5. 05

    Weed and pest checks

We look for chinch bug damage, fungus rings and weed pressure while we work. When we spot something, we tell you what it is, what it means and what your options are before treating anything.

Signs Your Lawn Needs More Attention

  • Brown patches in the sunniest spots

Dry, straw-colored areas near driveways and sidewalks in summer are often chinch bugs, not drought. Watering more will not fix it, and the patch keeps spreading until it is treated.

  • Yellow or brown rings in cooler months

Circles that grow outward during damp fall and winter weather usually point to a fungus called large patch. It is common in St. Augustine and responds best when caught early.

  • Dollarweed taking over

Those round, coin-shaped leaves love wet soil. Seeing a lot of them is usually a sign the sprinklers are running too long, which our irrigation page covers in more detail.

  • Grass that looks gray or ragged after mowing

Frayed, whitish tips mean a dull blade or a cut that is too low. It stresses the grass and makes it more open to disease.

  • Thin turf and bare soil

When the lawn gets thin, weeds move in fast. Often a better mowing height and feeding plan can thicken it back up over a season.

How We Get Started With Your Lawn

  1. 1

A free walkthrough of your yard

We come out, look at the grass, the soil, the shade and the sprinkler coverage, and ask what bothers you most about the lawn. You get a straight read on what we see.

  2. 2

    A clear plan and estimate

We explain what we recommend, how often we would visit and what each part costs. If something is optional, we tell you it is optional.

  3. 3

    Your first visit

The first cut often takes a little longer while we get edges back in line and set the right height. After that, visits settle into a routine.

  4. 4

A steady schedule through the year

Grass grows fast in the hot, rainy months and slows down in winter, so visit timing shifts with it. We let you know about anything new we notice, like a sprinkler head that is broken or a patch starting to fade.

What Affects the Price of Lawn Care

Lawn care is priced per visit or per plan, and the number depends on your yard rather than a flat rate. We give you a free estimate after the walkthrough so you see the actual figure for your property before anything starts.

Size of the lawn
More square footage means more time mowing, edging and trimming on every visit.
How often we come
Weekly visits in the growing season cost more over a year than every-other-week service, but they keep the grass healthier and easier to cut.
What is included
Mowing alone is one price. Adding feeding, weed control and pest treatments changes it, and we break those out so you can choose.
Obstacles and layout
Lots of beds, trees, play sets or tight side yards mean more trimming by hand. Open, simple lawns go faster.
Starting condition
An overgrown or weedy lawn may need a few catch-up visits before it reaches a normal routine.

Lawn Care Questions We Hear Often

How short should my St. Augustine grass be cut?

Usually around three and a half to four inches. That feels tall to many people, but shorter cuts weaken the grass and let weeds and heat damage in. Zoysia and Bahia have their own ideal heights, and we set the mower for whatever you have.

Do I need to be home when you mow?

No. As long as we can get into the yard, through an unlocked gate for example, we can do the work while you are out. Just let us know about pets, gate codes or anything we should watch for.

How often will you come in summer versus winter?

In the hot, rainy months grass grows quickly, so weekly visits are common. In the cooler months growth slows and we can space visits out. We talk through the schedule with you during the walkthrough.

What if something gets damaged while your crew is working?

Our company is business licensed and fully insured, so you are not carrying the risk of having our crew and mowers in your yard. If a stray rock chips something, tell us and we will sort it out with you directly.

Why is my lawn still struggling even though it gets mowed?

Mowing is only one piece. Watering habits, feeding, pests and shade all play a part. We look at all of them and tell you which one seems to be the real problem, even if the fix is something like adjusting your sprinkler timer.
