Seasonal Cleanup in Lake Buena Vista

We clear out the leaf piles, overgrown beds and dead growth that build up between seasons, then haul everything away. Before we start, we walk the yard with you and explain what needs doing now and what can wait.

What a seasonal cleanup is, and when it makes sense

A seasonal cleanup is a one-time reset for your yard. Regular mowing keeps the grass in shape, but it doesn't touch the leaves packed under shrubs, the weeds working into your beds or the frost-browned plants nobody has cut back. A cleanup handles all of that in one visit.

Here the timing follows the plants more than the calendar. Live oaks drop most of their leaves in late winter and spring, the summer rains push weeds and vines into overdrive, and a cold snap can leave tropical plants brown and limp. Most homeowners book one cleanup in early spring and another as the rainy season winds down.

We're a family-owned company, business licensed and fully insured. We'll tell you plainly which parts of your yard need attention and which are fine as they are.

What we handle on a cleanup

Leaf and debris removal

We rake and blow leaves, oak catkins, fallen fronds and small branches out of the lawn, beds and corners where they collect. Wet leaf mats smother grass and hold moisture against plant stems, so we lift them instead of just blowing them around.

Bed weeding and edging

We pull weeds by the root, not just the tops, and recut the bed edges so grass stops creeping in. Clean edges also make it easy to see where your lawn ends and your beds begin.

Cutting back damaged growth

After a cold night, plants like hibiscus, ixora and firebush often brown at the tips. We cut back the dead wood to live growth once the risk of another frost has passed, so the plant puts its energy into new leaves.

Shrub shaping and overgrowth

We trim shrubs back from walkways, windows and the house siding, and pull vines out of hedges before they take over.

Storm-season prep

Before summer storms, we clear loose debris and dead branches within reach that could blow into your home or block drainage. Larger limbs are handled through our tree trimming and removal service.

Haul-away and final tidy

Everything we cut, pull or rake leaves with us. We finish by blowing off driveways, walks and patios.

Signs your yard is ready for a cleanup

  • Leaves piling under shrubs

If leaves are stacking up in beds and along the fence line, they're starting to break down into a soggy layer that invites fungus and pests.

  • Weeds outpacing the plants

When you see more weeds than flowers in a bed, pulling a few on weekends won't catch up. A full weeding resets the bed.

  • Brown, crispy plants after a cold snap

Dead tips and limp leaves usually mean frost damage. The plant is often still alive below, it just needs the dead growth removed.

  • Grass creeping into beds

Runners from St. Augustine grass will cross a soft edge in a matter of weeks. Once it's in, it competes with your plants for water.

  • Shrubs touching the house

Branches rubbing on siding or blocking windows trap moisture and give insects an easy path inside.

How a cleanup works, start to finish

  1. 1

    Free walkthrough

We walk your yard with you, point out what we see and explain why it matters. You tell us what bothers you most.

  2. 2

    Clear written estimate

You get an estimate that lists what we'll do, area by area. If something can wait until next season, we'll say so.

  3. 3

    Cleanup day

Our crew works through the yard bed by bed, with leaves, weeds and cuttings bagged or loaded as we go. You don't need to be home if we can reach the yard.

  4. 4

    Final walk and haul-away

We load everything out, blow off the hard surfaces and check the work against the estimate. If you're home, we'll walk it with you.

What affects the cost of a seasonal cleanup

Every yard is priced after we've seen it, because two lots the same size can need very different amounts of work. Your estimate will show exactly what's included so there are no surprises when the job is done.

Yard size and number of beds
More planted area means more weeding, edging and cutting back. Open lawn is quicker than lots of separate beds.
Time since the last cleanup
A yard tidied last season goes quickly. One that has been left for a year or two, with vines and weeds well rooted, takes more hours.
Volume of debris
Haul-away is a real part of the cost. A yard under several large oaks fills a trailer faster than one with a few small trees.
Access
Narrow side yards, fenced areas and steep spots slow the crew down compared with open ground.
Add-ons
Fresh mulch, plant replacement or irrigation adjustments can be done the same visit and are listed separately on your estimate.

Seasonal cleanup questions

Something not covered here? (407) 305-2563

How often should I schedule a seasonal cleanup?

For most yards, twice a year works well. Early spring catches the oak leaf drop and any cold damage, and early fall clears what the rainy season grew. Yards with lots of trees sometimes add a third visit.

When should frost-damaged plants be cut back?

Usually once the chance of another cold night has passed, which is often late February or March. The brown leaves protect the live wood underneath if another cold front comes through, so cutting too early can make things worse.

Do you take all the debris away?

Yes. Leaves, weeds, cuttings and branches we remove all leave with us. You won't be left with a pile of bags at the curb.

Can you add fresh mulch during the cleanup?

We can. A cleanup is the best time for it, since the beds are already weeded and edged. Our mulch and beds page explains the options, and we'll price it as a separate line on your estimate.

How do you protect my yard while you work?

We look for sprinkler heads, outdoor lighting and low edging before the blowers and trimmers come out, and we flag anything that looks fragile. Around your home, we work by hand near windows, screens and siding. If anything does get bumped, we'll tell you right away and talk through the fix with you.

Ready for a fresh start in your yard?

We'll come out, walk the property with you and explain what a cleanup would cover. The estimate is free, and there's no pressure to book.
